2 pounds Keilbasa Sausage, sliced
1 Medium head of Cabbage, sliced
1 Large Sweet Onion, sliced
3 carrots, shaved into ribbons
1/2 cup butter
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
salt & pepper to taste
Directions
Brown sausage in oil. Move to 5 quart pot.
Carmelize onions in sausage grease. Add carrots and butter. Cook until tender. Move into pot with sausage.
Add cabbage, salt and pepper to the other ingredients.
Add 1 cup water. Cook low heat until cabbage is cooked down and tender.
(Optional) When cabbage is tender, add dumplings.
